For the last 20 years, the Bridgewater Police Department has held its annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Seniors at the Bridgewater Senior Center. This past year, police officers served turkey and all of the fixings prepared by Bridgewater State University to more than 150 seniors. Active, retired and part-time police officers participate in the event each year and get to spend time with senior citizens in an informal setting.
