BRIDGEWATER — The Bridgewater Police Department will host a Civilian Response Training to Active Shooter/Violent Incident on Monday, Aug. 11, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Williams Intermediate School, 200 South St.
This training program is intended to give community members an introduction to the ALICE model (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) of self-defense in the event of an armed intruder or other critical incident in the home, out in public or in the workplace.
The program, instructed by Bridgewater Police Officers, will combine classroom instruction with hands-on scenario based training exercises. Class will be limited in size but there is no cost for the program.
