Plymouth County residents can now receive public safety alerts through Smart911, a free automated reverse 911 system. Smart911 allows police and fire departments to send alerts to specific geographic areas, such as Bridgewater, when important information needs to be shared.
Household landline phone numbers are already included in the system and do not need to be registered. Residents who want to receive alerts on a cellphone or an additional phone number can sign up by clicking here.
Alerts sent through Smart911 will display the phone number 833-533-6163. If a resident misses a call, they can dial that number to hear the most recent message.
Smart911 replaces Plymouth County’s previous reverse 911 system, CodeRED. Alerts will no longer be sent through CodeRED, and residents are encouraged to register their cellphones to continue receiving important public safety notifications.
