Student Criminal Justice Program

The Student Criminal Justice Program is a 14-week program that is held two evenings per month from October to May, and is instructed by members of the Bridgewater Police Department. The course covered various aspects of policing, including:

  • Constitutional and Motor Vehicle Law
  • Community Policing
  • Patrol Procedures and Officer Survival
  • K-9 Patrol
  • Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate (A.L.I.C.E) Training
  • Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT
  • Defense Tactics/Use of Force and Legal Aspects of Use of Force
  • Police and Fire-EMS
  • Drone Operations
  • Crime Scenes
  • Operating Under the Influence of Liquor
  • Police Simulator
  • Career Night
The Bridgewater Police Department recently concluded its first Criminal Justice Program for local high school students.
